Artist’s Statement

My name is Naomi Crowther, and I am deeply passionate about the ocean and all the wonders it holds. There’s something about the gentle sway of the sea, I believe that the ocean has a rhythm, like a melody of the dance of marine life, both flora and fauna.

The use of negative white space in my artwork symbolizes the importance of reserving space in our lives. I try to find moments of calm and serenity in nature. Through my art I invite you to take a step back, to pause and appreciate the simple joys and wonders that nature provides.
